my love for tennis
I don’t know how it started.
My father used to watch a lot of Cricket and sometimes Tennis too.
It was circa 2005 when I first saw Federer play against Roddick at Wimbledon on TV.
My father would mention just like Lord’s cricket ground is a Mecca for the Cricket sport likewise Wimbledon is for Tennis.
Then I would see Federer win the Wimbledon quite often. Then the fateful final of 2008 which Tennis pundits declare as the GOAT finals match.
I think the fascination and interest grew since then into passion and obsession so much so that I started playing Tennis myself and dreaming of watching a Wimbledon’s Final one day.
That dream kinda came true last month when stars aligned and I got to visit the All England Lawn Tennis Club at Wimbledon.
It was a surreal feeling to see the Centre Court all empty. Then imagining the roar of the crowd when Federer or Murray would win any point here.
So much history got written here.
I tried my best to soak in the moment
Grateful
Felt grateful to be alive, to have such parents and partner, to be working in such a job that affords me the luxury of international travel.
Find below some snapshots of my trip to Wimbledon and after-effects.
