Love Alone is Worth the Fight

My Love for Linkin Park

Linkin Park after a looooooong while is nominated for a Grammy.

First time without Chester!

Best Rock Album for their latest album From Zero and Best Rock Song for The Emptiness Machine.

LP was the first band I started listening to in college. I immediately fell in love with Chester's voice. I started emulating his singing style.

A Thousand Suns was the first ever album I bought with my pocket money. It was a struggle to buy the album in India but it was totally worth the wait.

Then came the news of Chester committing suicide. I cried a lot.

My parents could not understand what happened to me. How could a stranger's death evoke such strong emotions in me!

Fast-forward few years and I was at Krishnamurti Retreat Centre in UK looking for some answers. It was then when LP's latest album From Zero was released.

We were not allowed to use mobile inside the premises. So, I took a break from the retreat schedule and went to a secluded place.

I took out my phone and started listening!

It was an evocative album. I instantly liked the new lead vocalist's Emily Armstrong singing. But, obviously not as much as Chester's. There is no comparison. It is difficult to fillhis shoes.

Although, Rob Bourdon is gone; Brad Delson is gone; Chester is no more; but still LP sounded somewhat similar to their roots on their latest album.

I still felt happy seeing them nominated.

Same is the feeling when Coldplay is nominated!

Do you also love any band/artist a lot?
